Perhaps one of the more interesting things about living in Seattle is the sheer amount of graffiti that abounds. And I’m not just talking about tagging (which I feel is the juvenile middleschooler of the graffiti realm), I mean interesting art pieces. Drawings, stickers, murals and the like that make your day better when you see them.
Strangely enough, it seems as if stickers are the primarily vehicle for expression here. And since paper stickers are usually biodegradable and easier to remove from walls than paint I feel a lot better about appreciating them (my memories of removing painted tags from my family’s business are not fond).
But here are some of the pieces that I’ve seen in my wandering travels in the misty streets of Seattle.
